Important Notice: COVID-19 Update

We have carefully tailored our past clinical practices to the protocols issued by various health authorities. We would like to share with you the measures we have taken to ensure the safety of our patients:

  • Our equipment and high-touch surfaces are cleaned with medical grade sanitizers after each patient
  • Commercial grade HEPA filters are installed in the treatment area
  • Plexiglass barriers are installed at reception and exam rooms
  • Our staff strictly adhere to the requirements of hand hygiene, physical distancing, daily COVID-19 self-assessments
  • To minimize time spent in our clinic, the pre-procedural checklist, patient consent form and post-procedural instructions will be emailed/given out
  • As mandated by the Ministry of Health, all staff and patients in non-hospital medical and surgical facilities are required to wear masks to all appointments in our clinic. Patients are encouraged to wear their own mask prior to their arrival
  • Upon arrival, our staff will go over a COVID-19 checklist over the phone. Our staff will check the patient's temperature, sanitize their hands, and tape their mask
  • Family members/companions will be dropping off and picking up the patient at the lobby/parkade. Our staff will bring the patient up the elevators
  • Treatment times will be spaced out to allow maximum physical distancing at all times in the clinic

We are maintaining the high-quality patient care and excellent results as always. It is worth noting that:

  • SmartSurfACE is a scalpel-free, touch-free, incision-free procedure
  • Only topical anesthetic eye drops are used
  • Treatment time for each eye is 40 seconds (on average)
